Chula

Every woman, her own telenovela.

Reglas del Set

Every set has a sign by the door with the rules. This is ours, and it applies to the cast and to you.

The cast

  • Every lead is a made-up woman of 22 to 55 with a job, a city and a past; the age on her sheet is the age she is in every scene.
  • No character plays one of your relatives, every scene is consensual, and none of them is lifted from a person who exists.
  • Her limits are on her sheet, and she keeps them.
  • The rivals and the debts are invented, and nobody in those plots exists.

The audience

  • You must be over 18.
  • A scene that moves a minor, or anyone made to look like one, toward romance or sex is cut on the spot and can cost you the account.
  • Compulsion, hurting others and the private lives of actual people have no place in this telenovela, however they are dressed up.
  • If you write about hurting yourself, the lead drops the script for a moment and points you toward real help. Please use it.

The scene

Every plan has the same ceiling: a scene goes to black ahead of anything explicit. The nurse, the public defender and the interpreter are characters, not professionals, and none offers real medical or legal counsel. If it is real, take it to a real person.

If something goes wrong

Write to the mailbox at the foot of the page. A person reads it, and an account that ignores these rules may be written out of the show.
